I received a phone call from AeroSport Power today. They confirmed that on their magneto test bench the magnetos were not firing until after 800 RPM. As suspected my engine ground strap issue, where the electical condictivity of the ground strap was impaired by the engine crankcase paint, caused the starter cranking current to cause internal damage to the magnetos. AeroSport Power has forwarded the magnetos to E-mag Air for repair. I also found out my upholestry, that was completed and shipped last week, has arrived and I can pick it up tommorrow.
